Outdoor Recreation Guide

I Help People Discover Czech Nature

Hiking trails, marked routes, and outdoor spaces across Prague, Brno, and Olomouc. I’ve logged over 3,000 kilometers of trail research to give you accurate, actionable guides.

My Journey

How I Became a Trail Specialist

It started with my grandfather. Every weekend during my childhood, we’d head into the Šumava mountains with nothing but a map and a hiking compass. He’d point out bird calls, explain how to read the landscape, and show me why some trails lasted centuries while others disappeared. That curiosity never left me.

After high school, I knew I wanted to study environmental science seriously. Charles University in Prague felt like the right fit — I graduated in 2010 with a degree in Environmental Science and completed advanced certifications in mountain guide training through the Czech Alpine Club. For five years after that, I worked as a field researcher, documenting biodiversity in protected areas. The work was meaningful, but I realized I wanted to share what I was learning with people outside the research community.

Years as Guide & Content Creator

That’s when I transitioned into professional guiding and content creation. For the past nine years, I’ve spent most of my time on the trails — conducting seasonal surveys of path conditions, accessibility features, and ecological characteristics. I’ve become deeply familiar with Divoká Šárka valley, the Pálava hills, Prokopské údolí nature park, and Olomouc’s urban green spaces. My work’s been featured in Czech outdoor magazines and hiking forums, which I’m proud of. But honestly, what matters most to me is when someone tells me they used one of my guides and discovered a place they never would’ve found otherwise.

What I Specialize In

Core Areas of Expertise

Years of fieldwork and seasonal research across Central Bohemia and Moravia have given me deep knowledge in these key areas.

Divoská Šárka Valley Walks

One of Prague’s most dramatic natural spaces. I’ve mapped accessible routes for all fitness levels, documented seasonal changes, and identified the best viewpoints year-round.

Pálava Hills Routes

Wine country meets hiking territory. I’ve researched marked trails across these limestone hills, noting trail conditions, water sources, and connections to local vineyards and villages.

Prokopské Údolí Nature Park

A hidden gem near Prague with stunning geological formations. My guides cover everything from easy family walks to more challenging routes, plus wildlife spotting tips.

Olomouc Urban Green Spaces

City walking doesn’t have to be boring. I’ve documented parks, green corridors, and nature areas within Olomouc itself — perfect for active locals and visiting travelers.

Trail Condition Monitoring

Conditions change seasonally. I conduct regular surveys of marked trails, noting maintenance issues, weather impacts, and accessibility features so you know what to expect.

Sustainable Tourism

I’m passionate about helping people discover nature while protecting it. My guides emphasize low-impact practices, respect for protected areas, and conservation principles.

My Philosophy

How I Work With Trail Information

01

Accuracy Over Everything

I don’t just compile existing information. I walk the trails myself, regularly. If a marked route is damaged or conditions have changed, you’ll know about it in my guides.

02

Real Details That Matter

Generic guidebooks don’t help. I include water sources, rest spots, elevation profiles, and seasonal notes. You’ll know exactly what to expect before you leave home.

03

For Everyone

Not everyone’s a serious hiker. I document trails for casual walkers, families with kids, and experienced trekkers. Every route gets described with all experience levels in mind.

04

Respect the Land

I’m driven by conservation. My guides emphasize staying on marked routes, respecting protected areas, and leaving places better than we found them. Nature tourism can be sustainable.
